He's a soccer player!

So Kieran had his first soccer game last Saturday. It was the first time he put his 10 times too big uniform on. He ran around the house saying "I'm a soccer player!"

My children never cease to amaze me

Kieran's Uncle had an emergency trip to the ICU late last week. We went to see him as soon as we found out. By the time we got there (we were not notified until almost 2 days later) he was already back at home and sleeping off the copious amounts of drugs he was given. We stayed for several hours, most of which he slept through. When he woke up, Kieran (who is normally pretty shy around him) immediately went over and gave him a big hug, then climbed into his lap. (Later of course, he tried to steal his girlfriend...) He was very gentle and loving to his Uncle, completely of his own accord. So sweet!

Stop it, No way!

Lately Aislyn has decided to use the words stop it, although they are always said in fun, and not because she really means it. Dada will be kissing her tummy and she starts yelling (happily) stop it!

No way, on the other hand, is unbelievably cute and yet troublesome. This girl is feisty! I asked her to do something the other day, like put her books away and she looks at me, with a smile on her face, and says "No way!" Of course, she is giggling and being so cute... Darn baby with attitude! Its cute now...

Anyone want to play a game of Mama/Aislyn?

Hehe, think marco polo. Aislyn will walk around the house calling Mama, to which I reply by calling her name. She LOVES this game, I think we play it at least once a day! And she will change up how she says mama (you know, deep scruffy voice, or a long hold on the first part) and I try to change my response to match hers. Such a fun and simple game we play.

My heart is smiling!

So again, rather out of the blue, Kieran says to me: "Mama, you will always be in my heart."

We have never used that phrasing with him, so I am not sure where he heard it, but it is one of those beautiful moments when my heart melts. He proceeded to tell me how dada would always be in his heart, and his sister...

Pointy Things

So Kieran knows how to recognize a triangle because it has three pointy things. He will point out: "one pointy thing, two pointy thing, three pointy things!" Um baby? Those are called angles. :)

Melts my heart

Kieran says to me: "Mom, you look so beautiful in that shirt." Completely out of nowhere. So sweet!
